Finding Books

One of the ways you can bolster a research paper is by using and citing books with background information on your topic. Books can provide helpful definitions, give context and history on a concept or topic, and can also strengthen your argument with relevant statistical data.

How to Request a Book

Can't find the book you need? There are several options for requesting an item.

  • Use our Interlibrary Loan form to request a book.

    • Before requesting a book, check the Library Catalog to make sure the library does not have a print or electronic copy of the title.

    • When completing the Tipasa ILL form, make sure you select the form for the correct item format (options include article, book, or non-print).

  • Use WorldCat to find books located in other libraries. Use Interlibrary Loan to request a book that you see at another location.
