Off-Campus Access

Descriptions of how to access Franco Library databases when off-campus.

ProQuest Databases

When accessing ProQuest databases off-campus, there are a few extra steps before you'll be prompted to authenticate using your Alvernia credentials. Review the steps below.

  1. Select the database you want to access from the library's website.

    • If you've already authenticated your Alvernia credentials using another platform (i.e. email, Canvas, OneDrive), you will be sent right into the platform, with no further steps necessary.

  2. If you have NOT yet authenticated on your device, you will be sent to the following page:

  3. Select 'Institution Local Login' under 'Other Access Options'.

  4. Scroll down the list of organizations and select 'Alvernia University'

  5. Now you'll be prompted to authenticate with your Alvernia credentials - once you authenticate, you can access the database.
