Information Literacy Sessions
With the vast array of growing information each year, it has become vital that students develop comprehensive information literacy skills in order to become lifelong learners. This is where librarians can aid you in educating Alvernia's students.
Contact one of the Reference and Instruction Librarians to schedule a class. Recorded sessions can also be arranged for asynchronous classes.
Course Reserves
Print Items
Books, articles, & DVDs can be placed on reserve for student use in the library. Faculty should complete a Reserve Materials Form for each item.
Electronic Items
Create a list of electronic reserve items for students within your Blackboard course page.

Research Help
Librarians are at the library to help you with your research needs! Email, chat, virtual, and in person reference help is available at the Franco Library or online at: http://www.alvernia.edu/library/
Collection Development
Have a specific topic that you or your students are researching, but the library doesn't sufficient resources? Contact your liaison librarian to discuss a purchase for the library's collection.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Can't find a book or article that you need? We can often get it for you at no cost. Contact our Interlibrary Loan staff with your citation or fill out our Interlibrary Loan form.

Books & DVDs
Check out books and DVDs with your Alvernia ID. Popular titles are available as well as scholarly resources for classes. If there is a title you'd like to use for class, consult your liaison librarian in order to obtain a copy for the library's collection.
