Alvernia University students, faculty, and staff may request books and photocopies of articles not owned by the Franco Library through Alvernia's Interlibrary Loan service.
Materials requested through Interlibrary Loan often arrive in a few days, but may take 2 weeks or more to obtain. You will be notified when the item you requested arrives.
There is generally no charge for requesting books or articles from other libraries.
Note: Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks or other course materials. The library is unable to borrow textbooks or course materials currently used in classes because this may violate copyright law.

Use our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service to request materials. Before requesting an article, check the Journal Finder search to make sure the library does not own or have electronic access to the journal you need. Simply type in the journal title and search!
