Interlibrary Loan: Home

During Coronavirus Closures

Alvernia University students, faculty, and staff may request digital articles not owned by the Franco Library through Alvernia's Interlibrary Loan service. Many libraries are closed or virtual-only, so expect extremely limited availability.

Materials requested through Interlibrary Loan may take a couple of days up to 2 weeks or more to obtain. You will be notified when the item you requested arrives.

There is generally no charge for requesting articles from other libraries.

Note: Students are responsible for purchasing their own textbooks or other course materials. The library is unable to borrow textbooks or course materials currently used in classes because this may violate copyright law

How to Request an Article

Can't find the full text of an article you need?

Use our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service to request materials.  Before requesting an article, check the Journal Finder search to make sure the library does not own or have electronic access to the journal you need.  Simply type in the journal title and search!
