Research Help: Database Security Warnings

This guide will help aid you through the research process.

Identifying the Issue

Attempting to access some library databases triggers a security exception by your browser. In order to reach the database, you must "click through" these warnings. Warnings appear because of a mismatch between the SSL your browser looks for and the SSL that our databases provide. The Franco Library is not aware of any security threat to your computer posed by accessing the library's databases. See below for guidelines for proceeding through these warning pages for several popular browsers.

Google Chrome

Click "Advanced" and then the link that says "Proceed..." You may need to do this more than once. 

Firefox

Click "Advanced" and then "Accept the risk and continue." You may need to do this more than once. 

Microsoft Edge

Click "Advanced" and then the link that says "Continue...". You may need to do this more than once.
