NUR 210: Introduction to Nursing Practice


Hello nursing students and welcome to the Franco Library!  This guide is meant to walk you through the next three weeks of your NUR 210 course.  Please follow the yellow navigation tabs on the left hand side for step by step instruction.

In this guide and your library sessions you will learn:

  1. How to choose a topic and create a research question
  2. How to develop a list of search terms from that topic/research question
  3. How to utilize search strategies in your search for information
  4. How to sign up for a personal EBSCO account and how to use the MyEBSCO folders.
  5. How to evaluate a variety of sources including articles and websites.
  6. How to locate DOI numbers & publisher URLs for proper APA citation.
  7. How to conduct ethical research and avoid plagiarism.
