Scope and Content Note:

John Updike remained continually fond of and interested in the Shillington schools he attended. It was during his years at Shillington High School that his creative talents began to really evidence themselves. He continued to keep in touch with many of his classmates throughout his life and consistently returned to the area for alumni reunions. This series contains many items related to school activities collected primarily by Thelma Lewis who taught at the High School.
