David Silcox acquired or personally videotaped several appearances by John Updike and programs about him as well as some videos of Shillington’s past.
In 2009, David Silcox and Jack De Bellis gathered information via questionnaires and interviews from some of John Updike’s classmates and childhood friends. Some of the information was used in the book, John Updike’s Early Years by Jack De Bellis (with David Silcox) published in 2013. This series contains 34 questionnaires and 8 recorded interviews.
Box also contains preservation copies of each item on DVD. Public access copies on DVD available for use upon request (Box 14).
